Bukola M. Bello, Principal of Vision M.A.I. Consulting, has spent more than a decade working in government and government-related positions.
Before founding the firm, she served as a Pension Analyst to the Illinois General Assembly’s Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability where she prepared historical, statistical, and economic analyses for legislators in both the Illinois House and Senate.
Ms. Bello has authored multiple published reports used by policymakers and has advised legislative caucuses on pension, education, revenue, and regulatory policy matters.

Bukola Bello has led and supported legislative efforts involving veto overrides, energy infrastructure modernization, pension funding, healthcare expansion, and regulatory reform.
Notable outcomes include securing $11.9 million in funding for the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund and advancing major policy initiatives in healthcare, education, and energy.
Government Experience
Ms. Bello served as a senior analyst to the Illinois General Assembly’s Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability, where she prepared historical, statistical, and economic analyses pursuant to legislative requests from House and Senate lawmakers.
She has authored published reports still used by the Legislature, organized and presented policy initiatives for legislative caucuses, and served as a technical advisor on pension, education, revenue, and other legislative matters.
Her legislative work also included serving as a Commission liaison during negotiations between the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the Illinois Municipal League, the Illinois Public Pension Fund Association, the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois, and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Additionally, Bukola has authored ten published reports that are still used by the Legislature, organized and presented policy initiatives for the Black, Women’s and Latino Legislative Caucuses, and served as a Technical Advisor to the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus House Chairperson on pension, education, revenue and other legislative matters.
